I'm so jealous. I'd never be able to keep this species down here in Florida without a whole lot of special customizations.

Trust me I really looked into it. I'm just barely able to keep quad quads and jacksonii jacksonii on my completely covered patio. My misters earn their keep around here.

My q. quads stay out about 9 months a year, the hoehnelii can stay out another month. I keep them out to night time temps reach 38F., colder than that they come in.

It's not my winters that are the problem. In fact, if it were winter here all year I think I'd be able to keep just about every species in the book outdoors with relatively little extra work.

Hoehnelii can take at least as much heat (I think more) as q.quads. They also need less humidity. Your problem would be night time temp drops in the summer.
