T5 or T8?

Which is better for a montane species? T5 or T8? I really would like to get a T8 fixture from zilla. Let me know, thanks.

I have a double t5 for my jackson
http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/24hot5dobufi.html and I just replace my t8's in my other two cages - with the Arcadia lights you replace every year instead of every 6 months - I even managed to keep a plant alive with with the daylight bulb - which is a good thing with a montane-

I need a 18" fixture though. Something that's about 4" wide. This is why I wanted to get the zilla T8. It's cheap and perfect. Just wanted to know if t8s are ok for montanes.

T8's are fine - you can get Arcadia lights in a T8 also - I'm pretty sure it's a more that T5's use less electricity and give off more light - You would have to ask Todd to be sure- He'd probably would tell you the difference even if you ended up not buying from him, but as far as lighting goes it a real pleasure doing business with him.

I'd get Arcadia but they don't have an 18". Wait another question, is T5 & T8 a UVB bulb? They give out the same UVB as a 5.0? I'm confused...

T5 is a thinner bulb T8 is the bulb that fits in any standard tube fixture- I used the forest for the chameleons the desert for the bearded dragons -
A UVB bulb will say UVB - they also have compact light bulb looking UVB bulbs - They had problems with them when they first came out which scared me off from them. My husband tried to tell me that a "full spectrum" light was the same thing- it's not they have UBA but not B or something. I hate being the one to answer as I'm way out of my depth.

It is an 18" PC fixture.... but is for all size cages too.

And 119.99 for the Ultra High UV model (but you do not want/need that one)

The Arcadia PC Bulbs will last at least a year.

They will be up on the web-site for sale in a week as soon as I am 100% confident they will work PERFECT.

The UV can be adjusted 3 ways in them.
