taking him outside question....

i have heard over and over that real light is best. i have read on several posts where the cham owner just takes the tree or plant with the cham on it out side. am i right in assuming they are taking them out with out a enclosure? i know that chams like to be in the tops of trees. so is that the reasure i need to remind myself when i try this? i just have visions of him just jumping off and being gone.
can anyone give some advice or suggestions about this?
also what temp should it be outside? and what is the hottest it should be? we get pretty hot here.
thanks

ya natural sunlight is very good for your chams. you should just put them out side in an enclosure with a bush in there and they should be fine and for the temp part look up what kind of chameleon you have and what its natural temps are.

Taking them out is best. i take mine out every weekend from basically sunrise to sunset. And defiantly in an enclosure. i also set out a sprinkler system so he also gets misted. you cant go wrong with taking them out- as long as you can keep them safe, your good.

ok great thanks for letting me in an enclosure. i thought people were taking them ot just on the trees.

That's a pretty good idea, never really even thought of taking mine outside. Maybe I'll build a PVC enclosure for outside, that'd be nice during the summer months. Let me know how yours reacts to finally being outside.
