Tasty treats!

Hey community i have been wondering for awhile, whats your favorite tasty treat to give to your chameleons?
I know every now and then i get a grasshopper or dragon fly from outside and i know my chameleon loves them. But also, could these extra treats be bad for these gentle creatures? i know parasites can be devastating to the health and nobody wants to put your chameleon threw this. So whats some good extra treats, and what to look for to see if they are okay to feed. Lets see the wide variety of tasty treats.

Cultured hornworms. They're Lucky's favorite. Doesn't matter who, when, why or what, if a hornworm is offered, he'll strike.

Yummy i have always wanted to give Treeco horn worms but since i live in Kansas the worms are not expensive but the shipping is. But i will one day try them out.

I would not be concerned about wild-caught insects having parasites that would cause your chameleon abnormal parasite issues. If it flies, hops, walks normally, feed it to your chameleon. A butterfly net is at both my front door and back door, I have been known to race out into the front or back yard and nab a butterfly, moth dragonfly, flying ant, or other flying treat.

When it comes to snails (which are not an insect), I would start a fresh colony from eggs, not only because of parasites, but also since most snails could be around fertilizers and heavy metals, it would be wise to start with a clean colony.

CHEERS!
