Temperature Control systems?

Hi,

I'm just curious if anyone of you use the temperature control devices they sell which regulate the amount of temperature emitted into the cage. I was considering purchasing one but wanted to see if others had any success with it.I found one here. Are these things worth it?

Zoo Med HygroTherm

Thanks!

This unit does not physically regulate temp. & etc. in the enclosure. It simply reads temp. and humidity and will turn a device on or off depending on the specs. set. It could be useful I suppose. If nothing else its a digital readout of temp. and humidity.

I have a Zoo Med HygroTherm for my Emerald tree boa and it dose an excellent job. It can even be set for a night temp drop. It controls a heat emitter and a fogger for humidity and has done a great job for 2 years now. The temp/humidity probe is a bit bulky. Only problem I have had to date was a mouse chewed on the insulation.

This is not a proportional control so it will only turn a heat source and humidity device off and on to maintain desired temp/humidity.
