Tent cattapillars

Two of my apple trees have tent caterpillars and I was wondering if I can feed a few to my veiled before I throw them in a fire barrel.
Just thought two or so would be something different for him to try but am not sure if the little hairs would bother chams.

Thanks
Terry

"I accuse goode caterpillar! It be a witch!"....'burn, burn'..

Geez, are you getting them in plagues or something? why not leave them be? birds have to eat!

TONS of them and they do a number on the apple trees.
The real reason JJ is the girlfriend won't drive the lawn tractor under them!;)

Rofl, we get odd hairy ones here called spitfires, they actually emit noxious acidic fluid , that stinks and burns the skin if you disturb them. Used to trick the new kids into poking them with a stick at school. Havent seen them in many years though. :)

Don't worry about the birds here JJ they eat better than I do! Me and the girlfriend like to sit outside and the birds are everywhere. Hummingbirds, Oriels, Cardinals, chickadees, Finch, Robins, Juncos, and one little one I have not figured out yet. Made it's nest right by the BBQ so we hang out together ALOT.

Hey....they are tent caterpillars...maybe I can take them camping.

You may have to invest in some snakes to keep the bird numbers down! :D

Hey any excuse to aquire a reptile right!
