Terranium for cold climates?

I live in an area where it gets quite cold and dry in the wintertime. Is there such a thing as a terrarium that has 3 glass sides, with a screen front and screen top? I'm wondering if something like this might help with humidity, while still providing the needed air flow? Just wondering what my best purchasing option would be considering the climate I live in.

We will be getting a male panther, so we'll need something larger as he grows to full size. Thanks.

I can relate to cold climates, I live just south of Canada, in Montana, we hit -20 several times each winter. There are terrariums like you are asking about, check out exoterra terrariums. I would also check out DragonStrand, they have 3 solid sides with front screens and tops. That is what I use and the work wonders without the weight of a terrarium.Dragon Strand is a forum sponsors, look for the line in the upper right hand. That will show you a list of all the forum sponsors. Let me know if you need any more winter help. Where are you located?

Yeah, I second this. Looks into the dragon strand breeder enclosures. IMO it would be better than a glass enclosure like an exoterra.

I live in new York . I spray the screen cages and the free range room daily . but I also have a planted tube cage I built that goes in the shower once or twice a week and the chameleons get a nice shower . this has been working for me and my lizards for going on 20 years now .

Thanks, I'll check them out. Am in WI

Do you have to adjust what you do for your chams based on the seasons as far as bulbs, humidity level, etc? Or just try to maintain consistent patterns year round?

Another option to consider is a screen cage that you can modify to hold or release humidity each season. If you want larger cages for adults this often ends up being the affordable option. You can always add plastic panels to screen cage sides. I've done it several ways...attached clear vinyl shower curtains trimmed to fit from the top of the cage frame so they hang nicely. Or, you can attach thinner plexiglas panels to the cage sides with small storm window toggles screwed into the cage frame. Then, remove or add panels as the season dictates.
