Terrarium & Terrarium Cleaning

Hello my chameleon is about 4 months old and i want to give him the best and healthiest life... i have heard that they can get sick from the nasty bacteria in the terrarium. I have also heard there is a cleaner or disinfectant i can buy. Are there any brands you recommend? Or any brands you personally use? Also, i do not have a drainage system but the expert at the reptile store said i will only need one when my chameleon grows about a year old. Do you have any recommendations for that?

You are going to need some kind of drainage with as much water as a chameleon needs it's a must, or your plants will die of root rot and then the mess really begins. You can get a cleaner crew of insects to help you keep it clean such as spring tails, and pill bugs. It is indoors and the plants are fake at the moment they told me to upgrade to real plants in a year or so untill he grows 1 year old. I have school so i might not be able to tend to any real plants till a year when school dies down a little.
