There is something in Einstein's eye

My 1 1/2 year old veiled cham has something small in his eye. He's still able to eat, and has been rubbing it on a vine, but has been keeping it closed for a couple days now. Is there anything I can do for him? I don't handle him, so it's not like I can just pick him up and remove the issue, but I wonder if I should try to wipe his eye with a q-tip or cloth, or would that most likely damage his eye more than just leaving it alone? How long should I wait for him to get it out, or what specifically should I watch for so I know if I need to get him to the vet? Thanks for your help.

I'd attached an image of his eye, but that function doesn't seem to be working.

It is very possible there is something in there, but there are other reasons for his eye being closed like infection ot vitamin A deficiency. If you can hold him, try using plain saline solution(for contacts) and flushing the eye out. If you don't see any improvement the there is most likely something else going on. How often do you provide a multi vitamin? What do you gutload your feeders with?

Looks like skin from here. This is the second one in a few days who had some shed skin in his eyes. One more and we should be done.
