Thermal burn?

Hey guys just came home from a three day vacation, with the lights for the chams being on a timer, they seem to be working fine but one of them had new markings. I’m fairly new to the game and wanted to pick some brains on it. They other side has the continues lines down as well. The new is the white spots with the black around them. Thanks in advance!

Hmmmm it could be a burn, but that’s an odd place for one. Usually it would be on the back or the top of their head. Possibly a fungal infection? Let some others chime in, but that would be my guess.

Yes, that is a thermal burn. Need to get silversulfadiazine cream from a vet to treat it topically so it heals right. And double check your basking temps. He is getting far too close or too hot.

@Beman knows her stuff. She’s much more experienced than me. Please disregard what I said about it possibly being fungal. Check your temps as she said and see a vet.

It very well could be something else. But the dark discoloration around the edges you see with thermal burns. And the position being on the side goes along with basking and leaning. Very common position with younger chams.
