These types of baby food okay?

So as many people know, I have to hand (force) feed Molly. I feed her crickets that I have frozen in a bag and I thaw them out one by one as I feed them to her. I also feed a few supers every few days. The crickets are gut loaded before I freeze them along with the supers with carrots, a dry gutload mix, some calcium powder, and twice a month multivitamins. I also gave them some fresh wheat grass I had kicking around in the last few weeks. Well I bought some baby food to also give her, one is carrots, one is sweet potatoes, and the last is apples/strawberries/bananas. Are these fruits and veggies okay for her? I like to give her variety since she is a very fussy eater. Also, any suggestions on what other fruit/veggie baby foods I can give? I saw apple/blueberry but I didn't know if that was okay.

The superworms are live, but the crickets are too hard to hold on to and end up jumping all over the place. She also tends to spit them out so it makes it even more difficult. Also, I am a tad bit scared of touching live bugs, I don't like them much. The superworms I can handle if they are almost dead from squishing them or if I use tweezers.

when you have to force feed to encourage eateing its best to use gerber first foods bananas, and anything green always first foods...dilute 2 parts babyfood 1 part water or pedialyte depending on how dehydrated they are...chances are you will get them eateing before you finish the food any un opened food can be mixed with dry crix gut load that is if your keeping enough of them i ALWAYS have several thousand they will love it. any way the natural sugar and protein in baby food boosts their metabolism and energy making them more active and hungry...at least thats what my old vet told me and it worked time and time again

i dont think you would have to force feed if you just gave her what she would naturally rather hunt down...motion attracts them and stimulates them without that they become lazy and lifeless unless they have a pre established handicap that prevents them from doing so on their own...if you use non latex gloves when handeling bugs you cant feel them....

I have tried free ranging insects, and cup feeding. She just starves herself. She has been forcefed for months, I have tried weening her off but she wont open her eyes. She has eye problems and walks around with them closed. There is nothing wrong with her setup, just past problems from a bad place.

Oh and she can open her left eye, she just chooses not to. She will for a few seconds and then it's closed again. I think it has a problem where it is sunken down and it is hard for her to lift it up to the eye opening.

yikes didnt know that....sorry to hear about that.....i know you can do bananas and peas for a long time if you have a small food processor i would puree bugs/baby food pedialyte together and feed her that way....best of luck to you

stage 1 baby foods they come in stages that are broken down for and un developed digestive tract...babys much like chams cant digest everything without geting constipated first foods are eaisest to digest contain all good vitamins etc...second stage is like chunky style third stage is thick n chuncky first stage is smooth n creamy goes down easy.....the hardst part of feeding a cham babyfood with a syringe is accidentaly puting a cc too much in the mouth or it being a little to thick and see it coming out a nostrel...i freaked..the squirted plain water in the mouth...thats when i learned to dilute 2 parts to 1 part like i said before....if you know anyone in the medical field if you can get a butterfly iv thing take off the needles attatch it to the syringe stick thin tube in mouth it takes away alot of the stress eps if your up on anatomy of a cham you can puree a bunch of bugs baby food calcium h2o etc stick thin tube down to tummy filler up and slide tiny thin tube out ...i never tried it but it may work maybe talk to chris anderson about that...ive just fed orphaned sick animals like that...of all kinds

its the smallest jars of baby food...it says 1st foods on it....its what a baby (who starts eating solids) starts out on before they eat the next step up...its more smooth...

never mind she explained it a lot better than me....:)

Oh yeah that's what I give her. I usually just use a 3cc oral syringe and squirt it in little by little. I haven't had an aspiration problem with her, hopefully it stays that way. I work at a vets office so I have access to pretty much everything.
