There is a store here that is continually bringing in WC adult Mellers, selling them at outrageously high prices to novice keepers and claiming they are CB sexed pairs! Many of these animals are in obvious need of vet attention yet sell surprisingly quick! Most of these are sold with small birdcages or two to a 2X2X4 repti-breeze and no real care info. The local internet classified adds are full of adds that read: captive bred mating pair of Meller chams for sale... or some such thing after the buyers realize what they have gotten themselves into. This is how I've acquired two of my three. If I had more room I could have the largest collection of rescued Mellers in the North!! Anyway, I've spoken with the kids at the store and they seem to believe their story and look at me like I'm nuts if I question it. I don't want to be "that guy" but is there a legal way to stop the clearly misleading (untrue) sales pitch?
