Thinking about a larger cage

Hey guys,
Relatively new to this site (read a lot, first post though) and I have a 4-5 month old cham who's growing rapidly. I was wondering if anyone had advice on when I should up my cage size. Right now I have a 16x16x30 and I want to go to 24x24x48 whenever I get a new one because I dont want to buy a new cage every 2 months. I would say that he is 3-4 inches long excluding the tail. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

he could go in that size cage now with no problem. Most people worry about feeders hiding and the cham not eating, but you can cup feed to eliminate that problem.

Would you have any interest in selling your current set up? I have a 3-4 month old and am in need of a bigger home for him asap as he is still in a small tank that he has been in since he was 3 weeks old.
