I bought this panther as an ambilobe 4 weeks ago it has been developing brilliantly and is doing very well. I just posted some pics and Syn said it looks like his nosy be then I saw his thread and thought they look bloody simular I just want to confirm this is an ambilob and not a nosy be isn`t it.

Well I said it DOES look like a Nosy Be but it's too early to tell. I do see some reddish looking bars or something.. didn't see them before.

Did the person you purchased them from tell you it was an ambilobe?

Oh and by the way - I'm a girl. :p

Yeah I bought it from a breeder who owns a rep shop. He has one of the largest collections in Europe and the largest in the UK his site is www.lee-warren.com it was only when you said that and I saw your alarm bells started to ring lol as I want an ambilobe and not a nosy be.

Hey - if he has a large collection and he is a reputable guy - trust his word, not mine.

Ambilobe

Their colouration can drastically change from soft blue/green one moment to bright vivid yellows, reds, blues and greens. they may display a couple of these colours but can display all of them. The best way to find out their colouring is to look at the parents colours but even this is no guarantee of the colour range a particular Ambilobe may have.
