I have been sucking up knowledge daily on here but have never really posted a thread so I just wanted to say Hi! There is so much knowledge and great people on here it is like a little chameleon getaway just for me!
Our chameleon family consists of 2 veiled's Barnaby, and Blaze and 2 panther's, Bradley and Baxter. My 2 human girls wanted them to all have "B" names, and named them all!
We definitely got the "chameleon bug" and love these guys so much! We are no strangers to reptiles and have owned various types but nothing really compares to these guys.
Thanks for a great site and I hope to start to interact more☺

Hi there, welcome to the forums, it is a fantastic place and as you say there's such a lot of knowledge here. You have quite a family already!
The forum has enhanced my life in so many ways,
I would not if even considered keeping chameleons if I hadn't of had this place to come to for information and the comfort of knowing there's so many knowledgeable people here to help me, I've learnt so much.
I love how the forum is set out too, it's got a nice look to the design and easy to use.

Maybe you'll post pictures of your chameleon family soon,
Have fun:)

Lmao, there is a drama factor on occasion but we are people in general and we try to avoid it as much as possible as we are all mainly here for the chameleons. Sometimes we can be bit to excitable about getting you to change your care without really explaining but thankfully there are usually several others who are good about when one person has just had enough and gets too... much? Someone else will explain it better and then the original person has time to chill. We have had a couple trolls, but usually everyone is great about reporting it when it becomes a serious issue. But it's hard to join to just annoy...

But other than making sure you are prepared, I hope you enjoy keeping your little ones and all the ability of sharing and learning CF will provide <3 I am here and constantly scouting the forums when I can help with anything. I often respond at times I shouldn't even if it's just to tag others especially if it's an emergency, so if you notice my post doesn't make a huge a lot of sense, it could be I am getting tired XD

-Much love
Andee

Thanks! Yes you can tell their are many people keeping this site smooth, the one thing I really love vs. other sites is the "no drama" factor. Everyone seems nice and down to earth, no name bashing and negativity!
Welcome @hopps31 ,This is an amazing forum for sure !!. I will tell you there are moments it's gets drammerous . Theirs so much passion for these little gems . If theirs a member whom is being ignorant their will most definitely be drama :D. You will find so much knowledge and support here and many amazing keepers .

I think your mistaken there is no drama or trolls on the internet.

We are awesome thank you

Thanks everyone for the warm welcoming:) I guess all forums have drama flare ups now and then but unlike others you guys don't just say straight out mean things even though you may be thinking them;) Like you @Kristen Wilkins helped out poor @Traildrifterphalanx with all the patience and kindness anyone could ask for, it is just pure awesome sauce!!
@Traildrifterphalanx is an amazing new keeper whom really took his time to get thing right . Has a fantastic vet and loves his little gems to peaces . It was heart sickening for every one watching that thread . I'm so happy he's not giving up !!. He's to good of a keeper and he can provide a wonderful home even if it's a short time .

@Traildrifterphalanx really is an amazing keeper! I read every post and was so heartbroken for him:(

My little veiled I got from a local pet store which is amazing, the females look strong and healthy and I really do feel it makes a huge difference for the little ones they produce.

Though one of my panther boys is from the dreaded "no no Petco", but he was a little older I mean like maybe 6 months vs. 2 months and is doing great. The reptile manager is more knowledgeable and keeps them all pretty great, but the Petco in the town over all of the poor chams look horrible and I told them so but they do not care at all:(

My other panther I got from @Kboz1991 on here and is doing fantastic!

My other little veiled is from FL chams, we got the naval line from him and he is so tiny, like thumb pad tiny but so far have had no problems he ate and drank the second day. Honestly though I thought he would be bigger and would be even more worried if he was my very first one, I am still worried as all tiny little ones are super fragile.

So @Traildrifterphalanx don't give up you will find the perfect little one just for you:) Also thanks for the warm welcome!

My husband says I have a problem, as we went from no chameleons to 4 within a short span, what can I say they are like potato chips you can't just have one;)

Their addictive  . We have 2 chameleon one little girl veiled whom came from pet smart and she's sassy as can be . One boy panther Septiceye whom is the sweetest boy ever from @Matt Vanilla Gorilla . 2 beardies and a Leopard gecko . We will definitely be having more chameleons as many as we can handle . Their amazing creatures .

I am low on the cham spectrum right now honestly. I haven't even taken in any new rescues. Ryker takes up a lot of time currently so I have been not doing a lot of cham rehabs. I plan to take in my first new one as my own in about 2+ years in a few months after the beginning of next year.
