my cham is roughly 4 months old. well about when he was just a month old i caught him sleeping during
the day.. but that problem is fine ... here we are 3 months later. i just put 5 crickets in a bowl and put the bowl i front of him to eat them. well he ate all five, i went downstairs to grab my cell phone and 1 minute later i came back up and i couldnt find him in his cage. i found him and he was sleeping in his dracaena plant! He was blacker than black and cold! i thought he was dead. i panicked. so i gently tried to pick him up and nothing, no movement, no opening eyes, Nothing. so i grabbed his body and gently un grasped his legs and he moved onto my finger, with his eyes still closed and after holding him for aput 2 minutes he opened his eyes and turned green with his color again.. i have no idea what happened to him. this was today around 5:30-6 ish PM. his light schedule is 8 am to 8 pm. any body know what might have happened? According to his stool he dropped earlier today he is well hydrated. heres some pictures.

cham decided an early bed time today

He may simply went to sleep early one night. Once would not worry me much. I have a cham that goes to his sleeping spot about an hour before light off every day. Just how he is.

Mine goes to his sleeping spot around 7pm, lights out at 10pm. During that time he wont eat, and normally has his sleep colors on, and at best will have the eyes moving.

i actually am having the same issue with my veiled cham she is roughthly two months old and when ever she gets spooked she falls to the bottom of her cage and she turns black and cold like that is you find out whats up you should tell me!

Thats a defense mech for smaller chams. "fall like a leaf". You can walk up to certain tanks of carpet chameleons and drop the whole lot at the same time by showing them a big balloon suddenly:cool:
