Going to get some new cool stuff at the petfair in a few weeks! :D

Who else has tanks? Kent how bout some updated pics of yours.

Super kick butt shrimp! :) I love shrimpies. I would love a tank, but my mom says that a reef tank would cost too much (40-50 gallons anyways.) for now I just have my goldfishies who are currently learning to eat out of my fingers and some platies/mollies. Unfortunately my black moor can't see well and bumps into my fingers more often than not :)

Nice shrimp! I have a 55 gallon freshwater (have done saltwater in the past) and am moving soon and planning on setting up a new tank once I'm well settled there.

Chad and Darci - I really, really want to come to your house if I ever make it back to Vegas. I sounds like a fantasy land to me!

great looking tank! :) where Nemo?:p lol
Is that live sand? I used some that looks alot like that for my turtles..
NEVER DO THAT! lol :) i went from sand to gravel lol :) nice tank again! :)

its not a nemo tank... Darci wants one, maybe some day.

It started as live sand but any sand in a reef tank will become 'live' with time.

I have wanted another clam for my tank for a long time and when I saw this small green Crocea I knew that I just had to have him. The other new addition to the tank is a little tail spot blenny.

My first tax paying ‘job’ was at a tropical fish store about 10 years ago, back then it was complicated and compared to todays fish keeping standards. I was plagues with failure because of the large amount of time and up-keep that was needed and as a result I sold off everything with fish and stayed away for 8 years. About a year ago I stated reading into all in one nano reef tanks where the filters and tank were basically 1 complete unit, even the lights are all built into the hood.

Honestly the filter system is not even worth taking a picture of because you cant really see anything, its all hidden behind the main area with a plastic divider. A pump pulls the water through 3 different filter elements before pumping it back into the main area. Whereas before I had before I had to spend many hours working to maintain a reef tank I now spend at the VERY most 4 hours a month keeping everything in shape. Its very relaxing and enjoying to run.
