So, my panther chameleon turned 6 months a few days ago, so I was wondering when to cut down feeding? Is it when he stops eating everyday, or do I control it and cut it down? He is currently eating 5-7 medium sized dubias every day. Thank you for your help!
Do you have a male or female? For males, I wouldn't cut back until around 9-10 mo. He may even cut back on his own, I know some chams (mine included) do.
My panther has just reached that age as well and seems to have slowed down a bit on his eating. When I left for work this morning he had a few Dubias left over from yesterday in his shooting gallery and 2-3 BSFLs leftover in a separate feeding cup I have for him.
It's been harder to hand/tong feed him lately as he seems less interested/hungry (unless it's a relatively rare superworm, then he'll grab it pretty immediately)
