Those look like fun!! I wish we could have them here. I'll have to find some big hoppers this summer!! Yummy breakfast for Tommy :D

where did you get them from ?
I am in the UK, they are illegal in the States, the same as we can't get hornworms over here.

Found another one this morning in the tub that has now got wings, so he can have that one tomorrow! They are way better than those nasty icky crickets, lol! They just walk and hop! The other day I took the lid off the tub thinking it had the locusts in that had been 'de-legged', but 3 jumped out at once and were hopping in different directions! Too funny! 2 years ago that would have been my WORST nightmare, now I just laugh while my daughter screams!:D I did get bitten by a locust a few weeks back so I am a little more nervous of handfeeding them at the moment! It hurt!

TIFF YOU GOT ROACHES????? I am so proud of you girl.
Thanks Laurie, but they are really small! I couldn't bring myself to buy the huge ones - I'll work up to that!

That is tooo funny!! I felt the same way when I ordered my first hornworms and silkworms!! I would take them out with a stick!! Now I have 4 inch hornworms out loose when they climb out of the dirt bucket!!! My 2.5 yo daughter finds them and puts the caterpillars back! Ouch!! I wouldn't like the biting. I would be a little cautious handfeeding too!! Now with free-ranging, we have crickets running a muck too!! We find them and put them back in the buckets in the range!! People think I'm nuts!!:p Little do they know........:D
