Niiiiiice. How did you get these shots? Did you use a normal camera? What setting?

Also, do you always dust your feeders that heavily?
 
Great shots! I wish we could buy locusts in Canada. I wonder why there are no locust breeders though. They are readily available in fields by the hundreds!

..and i guess if he/she ate more than one of those calcium blasted locusts..:D you should prolly ease up a bit on the amount on calcium your dusting with.. a little goes a long way..

*edit*upon second inspection of the pics .. he dosent seem to be too blasted..as long as he didnt eat more than a cupple ,..its more of the locusts color i believe?... your cham looks very healthy so you must be doing something right..:)

right.Well im here to learn so im not going to lye to you.Iv been dusting every one like that.And hes eating lots per day.I was told to dust every time i feed while hes growing up but i guees im over doing it right?All im doing is putting the powder in a cup with the locust and giving them a shake.Now you have mentioed it il ease back on it..The chamelroen is about 4 months old.Iv had him 3 weeks,Only just started keeping them.Its housed in a flexarium.He also eats lots of blue bottle flies but i dont coat them.

god knows..Mayby start breeding your own?get some from the wild and start breeding em?

Are you using a flash..To get shots like this ie which happen in a spilt second a flash is essential

no.i use
canon 400d
canon 60mm macro lens
canon mt-24ex twin macro flash

yer i always dust them this heavy.But now you and the other guy above have mentioned it il make sure i dont dust as heavy.
