Too much water?

my veil Sweeney, who is living in his little rain-forest castle lol. gets misted once every hour and a half for 1 minuet, is this too long? Its depleting my reservoir in the monsoon system i have very quickly.

Any opinions?

well your humdity needs round to be like 70%...
and i would say spray max 3 times a day 60 secs
but if your humidity is realy like 40 or lower..
then i would spray more often

I spray 3-5 times a day for about a 1-2 minutes, and i hwill hae my mist king do the same thing..

Speaking of which i have to run to the store and get water for the system, it just ran dry.

I mean im sure there are small things different, and i think the mist king is touted as being quieter, (idon thave mine yet) but other than that...

I love the noise, it lets me know what time it is.

Just be sure to allow some "dry time". Too much moisture for too long can cause mold/bacterial growth. As a general rule of thumb; surfaces should not stay wet for more than 48 hours.

they generally dry out within the hour

sorry to disagree, but there is a world of difference between the monsoon and the mistking.
mistking allow use of any resivoir or direct to plumbing
more robust pump and parts,
seconds timer with 8 selectable times
expandable, even the starter system can do upto 8nozzles
mistking is a site sponsor

Well i dont have the monsoon but i have the mistking..

I mist for 5 minutes at 7 (lights on at 630) then for 1 minute at 8, 30 second at 10. 30 seconds at 11. 3 minutes at 12. 1 minute at 2. 1 minute at 3 and 7 minutes at 5. lights off at 7. The reason for the short mistings is for humidity purposes. All the others one are for drinking. My res. is a 13 gallon garbage can and i have to fill it up every 3 or 4 days. Thats also on two cages.

Chams can take awhile to drink so i like to have longer misting times.

I have my mistking go off every 3 hrs between 9am and 6pm lights out at 7-7:30, that is for my panthers, i have the monsoon for my veileds going off every 3 hrs for 1 min between the same times as the others.

The only real reason i bought one over the other was availability and not wanting to buy online.

it was easier to pick up at the store i buy alot of my feeders at.

i mist 3 times a day 5min in the morning 15 around noon and 5 in the evening.

you could see if there are any "low flow" nozzles available for your system. i used two types a red and a white. the white is more fine and i think lower flow. it also mists a larger area.

I'm gonna look into that, i love the fog effect that mine produces with the finest setting, Plus my Cham Loves it. he sits in his mist and drinks!
