For mine, it is normal. Keep up on your calcium so you don't have a crooked casque later...
Mine are adult size by 4-5 months. Meaning big enough that they would breed if I let them, but they continue to grow even larger beyond that size.
Other breeders in the old days when they were new to the hobby were claiming sexual maturity at 3.5 months sometimes.
