Turn around time from sick to healthy?

How fast have y'all seen a chameleon with (possible) MBD turn around from being sickly to better and what calcium/supplement regimen were they on? Anything more than what we would do for a hale apathy chameleon it a boost was needed? My guy was very dark colored in Sunday when I got him, but he is seeming to get more colors already and definitely has a better appetite. I'm gonna drive to a reptile shop near me tomorrow to pick him up some hornworms. I hope he likes them. I have the Calcium w/D3 and a calcium without and a multivitamin I'm giving him on normal schedule. I think he was just very neglected, but I think he is happier now by the way he is acting. He is still sleeping some in the day, but not much.

Hi There! Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear that your new addition is feeling bad. You have come to the right place:) There are great resources on here. I have copied and pasted information that will be helpful to others to better assist you. Along with filling in the information, photos are always a huge help so that some of the senior and experienced members on here can get a better idea of where should go from here. MBD can be a serious health issue and needs to be handled ASAP. My Chevy also has MBD, but, gratefully he received help from these great people on here and now he is a menace in our household. You can't reverse the damage, but you can help stop it from progressing. The right supplements and food as well as lighting is crucial to keeping your Cham Healthy. Very hard to predict as we don't know just how long he had deficiencies going on. It sounds as if he's already improving now. Gutloading your feeders very well over the long term, correct lighting, some real sun basking when possible, plus correct dusting should be enough if he's able to be normally active.

To get the calcium back in balance its recommended that you give the chameleon liquid calcium sandoz or gluconate in addition to the regular dusting, gutloading, appropriate temperatures and exposure to the UVB
