Wow, very interesting about Labord's chameleon living for only 5 months. I knew most chameleons had very shorts lives but didn't know there was one that was that short.

Where did you hear that most chameleons have very short lives? Or are you basing this on the fact that most don't last long in captivity due to poor husbandry?

No, I wan't refering to in captivity. Most chameleon species only live for 5 or so years(I know there are exceptions, but like I said "most") for the males and the females almost always live significantly less. A lot of the smaller species like lateralis only live a couple years.

Under good conditions chameleons in captivity live a lot longer than they do in the wild not haveing to deal with the stresses of parasites, predators, and harsh seasonal conditions.

Anyways, I guess furcifer labordi is the shortest lived land dwelling vertebrate in the world.

Man I missed it!! So I check the schedule and it appears to never be on again? They showed it 17th at 9 and last night at midnight....Sooooo if you missed it your screwed then? I had this happen with a couple other shows on AP and they never showed the things again EVER. Nice.....
