One of my chams bulbs i used for heat blew 2day and unfortunately it stuck to the reflector inside so that it broke basically and i need to get a new one. However i dont want the same one again and wondering what i should go for? His cage is a aluminium screen mesh viv 24x24x48, he has 2x exo terra flourescent tubes resting on top 24" one 5.0 and one 10.0. there is currently anotha heat lamp to the side of his viv. They were both using 60watt household ES bulbs.
I am investing in a new reflector so should i just buy anotha one the similar or should i go for something upto 100watts or the reflectors that are compatable with powersuns etc upto 250watts?
I cant give u temps in his viv right now as i am in the process of re-doing it all with thermometers n hygrometers. P.s. i live in the UK and it can get fairly cold here, although my room is usually quite warm as it is a loft conversion.
Usually i dont have any heat or bulbs on at night to allow him to sleep and adjust for a drop in temperature.
Also i am going to invest in a thermostat. very confused... should i go for a dimming thermostat? and use it on just one heat bulb? can i set it to turn off at night still withput messing up the program? As all his lights n heat bulbs are currently set on a timer switch to come on at 7:30 and go off at same time in evening.

Thanx in advance.
