So the more I think about it the More unsure I am about this. I bought a male chameleon about a month ago, and he was a month and half old. And I already had a female who was 2 months old, who was much much smaller than he. But with my male i do not see the spurs on him? But when i took them to the vet, they said that males grow much faster than females and that it is possible not to see his spurs.

Here is a pic of him well or her. I dont know. ARG

OH and I thought my dog made a cute face watching Chomper!

I would have to agree, from the look of the hind legs, and the colour I would say female too. I have a male, and they have yellow bands, these should have shown themselves by now if yours was male.

Color is not a positive thing, but the lack of spurs on the back is. Sorry if you really wanted a male, but this is a female, a pretty little thing too!

Well then I guess that would explain why her and my other Chameleon like being together.(yes, they are housed together, tried to separate but was a totally failure so they are living together) But why is she younger than Duckie but 3 times the size? Here are some Pics of them both.

Dukie eats very well, and she is almost a month older than Chomper is. I thought it was OK because I was told it was a male, and male grow much faster than females. But if indeed Chomper is a female what is she growing much faster than Duckie. And put putting it out there, Chomper was bigger than Duckie when we got her.:confused::confused::confused::confused:

(And please correct me if needed, I truly came to love these guy or girls, and There are amazing, and since I'm a stay at home Military Wife I have all the time to take good care of them!)

Ugh. They wouldn't still. :p

They sound like my kids. I have a 6 year old girl and a 4 year old girl and you think they are twins. Since my 4 year old is the same sizes as the 6 year old. Now the 2 year old brother is half the size of the 6 year old.
4 year in front left and the 6 six year old on the right. The 9 year old in the back.

housing the 2 together can be kinda dangerous because eventually the bigger one will start to dominate the food / basking spots / water and she will generally start to get all the good benefits of the enclosure and the little one will get stressed and not do to well. I'm not sure about yours due to the ages and my lack of knowledge about babies, but this would be bad in the long run.

I would think to separate them especially due to the size difference (which can be normal by the way-I have babies from the same clutch and some are 40 grams and some are 10 grams), but the above poster is right, one will dominate and even the stress of keeping them together can cause them both health issues in the long run.

Her growing bigger is because it looks like she has dominated already.
It happened with me aswell my females were together and the one started growing way bigger than the other so I did seperate feedings where I took one out.
And its also that shes probably getting the best position to bask under.

I would say that the Chomper is still in question about being a male post the best clearest pictures of the back of his/her foot from the side (if that makes sense) and maybe it will be easier and once its like 4-5 months post pics of its body so we can see its colours because it will be definite male or female at that age.

Hope this helps.
