Update on baitstore maggots

I purchased these unknown maggots from our local baitshop and decided to hatch them. They pupate as soon as they are left in room temp. It took them about a month to hatch. They are a very large black fly. Looks like a common house fly but bigger. Bait shop owner said most bait shops are carrying these. Don't know what to gutload these on. If anyone else has any info on these let me know. Thanks David

If they're just flies, they'll probably eat about anything. Probably go for something with Calcium in it, you might have to experiment a little. Its a good idea for another feeder though.

That's what I thought. My veiled seems to really like them. It's the first time he's ever seen something fly. He ate both of them right away. I should have about another 75 hatching over the next few days. I'll try them on fruit sprinkled with CA. Thanks for the reply. David
