Update on my bio YL parsonii atrium(pics)

Thought I'd post some pictures of my enclosure thriving with bio activity! Happy with how it's coming along, but sadly I'll need to tear it down when I move, plus the cage is too small for an adult Parsons.

Beautiful! I wish I could even get a plant to stinkin’ survive long term let alone thrive, haha. Your boy’s looking great! Did you ever pick out a name for him? Also, do you know how old he is and his weight?

Looks so good! That is sad that you have to take it apart. Are you going to build a larger one when you move instead of keeping the atrium?

Haha still no name! I've decided we'll just pick a name when we move and everything is more permanent. Hes been in brumation for a little while now so I imagine he lost a little bit of weight, but he was at about 200g before that and hes a few months short of 2 years old.

Yeah, my dream would be to build a large in-wall rainforest enclosure similar to how you see saltwater aquariums built. That won't be coming true anytime soon though lol. So my plan will probably be to attach 2 DS atriums for the indoor winter enclosure and then keep him outside full time summer and most of spring/fall. The 2 atriums should suffice for the winter since they don't move much during brumation.

That seems like an excellent idea having a huge inset wall. Wow! He is really quite beautiful. How big do they get? I saw you said that he was 2 so do they keep growing as they age?

From what I hear they tend to just keep growing for awhile, stalling in the winter if you brumate and then hit large growth spurts when it warms up. I think the yellow lip locales are known to reach around 2 pounds. They all seem to be pretty different though and he was CH so I'm unsure of the sire's size

HOLY CRAP.... omg Ok so I just figured out what type yours is. I saw a video somewhere of one that they had at a zoo. Those are little dinosaurs. LOL They are super amazing looking though. I really like how expressive their eyes are. I saw your post on Brumation and had to google the word to find out what it was. Well your pretty awesome for giving the little Hulk everything he needs!

Yeah they are quite the mini dinosaurs. Mine is still around the size of a large panther, but the adults are incredible. I got to visit a friend who kept a pair. Unreal to see in person, convinced me to go for it and get this guy.

Well I know you got a lot going on but don't be a stranger. I would love to see pics as your boy gets bigger! And of course when you eventually do a full wall enclosure!

Thank you, I've been trying to come on here more lately. Missed talking chams. Sometimes just gets overwhelming and i get annoyed easily with some of the goofy stuff people post on here lol.
