For a couple weeks we have been housing Loki in a modified tank/birdcage enclosure and today we bought him his own large reptibreeze.
I spent about a couple hours assembling, hand sawing, decorating, and arranging his new home while he was sleeping in his old one.
We bought him a pothos and an umbrella plant.
I used thumb tacks to hold the dowel rods and bamboo sticks and hot glued the angled vertical stick.
I used a plastic water tray to put his worms in and a deep plastic container for his crix. I poked holes on the bottom to drain any water that gets in them. Both have a piece of dowel rod hot-glued in the center for the feeders to crawl up and down to make them look more appetizing. I tried placing them at an area where he wouldn't poop in them, hopefully he'll use the big space of his new cage to do his business.
I placed his temp gauge on the crix cup since his basking spot will be in that general area. Hopefully it'll work the way I think it should.
I'm hoping he will be happier and calm down more with his new home. It's been a pain getting him out of his old one and he would always hiss, headbutt, and on occasions bite. When I finally do get him out he calms down quickly and acts like a sweetheart.
Anythig I should consider changing/adding/removing??? Comments or suggestions? How'd I do?
