Upgrading enclosure for my Panther Chameleon

Just ordered the Repti Zoo 48x18x36 for Max to give him more lateral room. His current eclosure is 24x18x36. I'm debating wheather I should use 2x24" or 1x48" UVB light. I'm thinking redundancy here in case of failure.

I would go with one 36” uvb. Make sure the top third portion of the cage is a total jungle gym. It’s not easy filling all that space. Get a bunch of zip ties you will need them. I have seen the tee pee style with three heavier beaches all leaning inwards. I actually took a piece of drift wood and put it halfway down and screwed each side into the heavy beach from stability. Then cross them up top with a zip tie so I could hang plants from it. Also put your big heavy plants on something so they get higher up. All the plants on the ground is not good. U to put will figure it out. It’s so exciting designing a different bigger cage but it does present new problems. Good luck to you. I would stick with on uvb, one heat lamp and one linier plant light. I got a 22” plant light bulb for a 24” hood. Works better then the sansi I paid a lot of money for. But it was too hot and too bright then burnt out after about a year and a half.

Almost done... Max is much happier in his new home :)
