Using Gutload

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else has been using the Flukers Orange Cubes as gut loading? I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and it seems to be working great, it acts as a water source as well as food. I was at first giving it to the crickets that I feed to my mellers but I threw a chunk in with a few of the small kind of meal worms (i forget what they are called) but they seem to love eating it too. So i was just curious if anyone else has used this and thinks its a good choice or if you don't like it and I should change, and why.
Thanks for your input.

My crickets prefer fresh food, Crix Crax (eat it by the cupful! and the water cube stuff. I hydrate my own and it is really reasonable. I put the orange cubes in but never see them eat them. They just dry out.

I'll have to get some of the crix crax and try it out.. I see my crickets on the orange stuff when they arent trying to hide, but the meal worms.. I have to pull them off the stuff, unfortunetly I havent been able to get my mellers to eat any of the meal worms yet tho?

i never feed any of my chams mealworms.
they are poor nutritionally and have been known to cause impaction in chameleon.
stick with crix and try silk worm instead.

ya, i knew they werent that good nutrition wise, but I figured if I had them eating a good source of food it would bring they're nutritional value up? it was just the only thing the petstore had besides crickets, i was trying to put a variety out there. I'm gonna have to find a place that can get me some silkworms.
