UVB question

has anyone tried using "arcadia 12%uvb D3+"? i dont know if it's good for chameleons, the supplier said it is okay for chameleons. i used reptisun 5.0 uvb for my cham, im planning to get a 24" lamp for my cham's new enclosure. i would like to know if "arcadia 12%uvb D3+" is okay? thanks

you might find this thread of interest:

and this interesting discussion about lighting, including about the arcadia bulb: https://www.chameleonforums.com/definitive-lighting-thread-everything-you-really-need-know-80869/

nevertheless, the most commonly suggested tube on this forum is the reptisun 5.0

some interesting comparisons: http://www.testudo.cc/Pages/Table%202.html[/URL

thanks! this really helps :)

I use the 12% t5ho bulb on my veiled and panther enclosures, but you need to cut down the uvb passing through with a blocker such as extra screen. To do this proporly you will need a solarmeter to measure the uvb passing through.
I really love the lights but "with extra power comes extra responsiblity" LoL
