Vacation topic

what do you guys do with your charms when you go on vacation? Do you board them? Do you get a friend to watch them? I live in Austin, TX, and want to prepare for a week long vacation in a few months.

For just one week... I'd decrease the misting so it doesnt have to be refilled every day and then only ask for that being looked after and leave my guy at home alone.

If it were weeks I'd ask for more care... My mom usually takes over the care of all pets and plants and keeps me updated.

In the past I have had someone come like once or twice a day to refill the dripper and to feed as well. For just a week, this should be fine!

Yeah ive been gone for about a week and a automatic mister and someone who can come over and just feed and pick up poop was all i needed

I have an automatic mister whose reservoir is a 5 gallon bucket and that can easily last me 5 day at least with my regular misting amounts. It depends on how old your chameleon is if you can leave it without food for a week. Younger chameleons cannot go more than a day or two without food. If you fill a feeder cup with some fresh super worms he should be able to get through most of the week without even being hungry. Then the day you leave, feed him about a dozen crickets, if he will eat more do it, and he should be fine if someone checks on his water.

We follow a similar process as Andee......feed him a ton of his stables and hornworms before we leave. Use a 5 gallon bucket to supply water to the MistKing. Timer for lights, and leave extra food in his "Orange Juice Bottle" feeder. Munsch is over a year and a half so he only eats every 2-3 days. Thus he only defecates only every 2-3 days as well. I am not overly concerned with cleaning only 2-3 poops over the week.
