Veggie Size

I would like to introduce my veiled to other types of food besides crickets and meal worms. I plan to use mustard and collard greens clipped to her vines to expose her to that type of food.

But I also know they like berries and squash and things of that sort. For non leaf items, how big should they be cut down? Do I need to remove the skins from anything? I gave her zucchini cut into 1/2 in cubes but she ignored them.

Is there any tips about putting these non-leaf items up at a higher level for her to find? Are people clipping dixie paper cups to the vines and letting the cham find them on their own?

I've read from other posts that some chams can be pretty picky. I have a feeling she is one of those. She loves crickets for the hunt I think, but I'd like to diversify for her benefit.

I usually try apple or pear (thin wedges), sweet red pepper (thin strips) impaled on branches first...and then move to things like butternut squash, sweet potato, zucchini, carrot. If the veggie is hard like sweet potato or carrot, then I sliver it or chop it fairly fine.

I put the chopped "stuff" in a large jar lid on the floor of the cage. They seem to find it and its convenient for the free-ranging crickets to find it too.
