In this thread there is some discussion about feeding chameleons, mostly veileds, fruits and veggies...
https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/veggies-.188300/
It's said that veggies can't be digested by chameleons so they shouldn't be fed to them....and yet it's said that they eat leaves in the wild to aid in digestion...moving along soft bodied insects in the intestinal tract.
It's also said that they shouldn't be given fruits because the sugars in them are bad for them.
But it's said that bee pollen is good for chameleons..be bee pollen contains sugars...
Per tablespoon..."4g total sugars"...

Another site says...
"A tablespoon of bee pollen has around 40 calories, 7g of carbs (including 4g of natural sugars)"...

BTW, I'm not saying not to use bee pollen.

"It has been also shown that pollen ethanol extracts have quite a strong antibiotic activity that is still being effective on the pathogen for human Gram-positive bacteria, for example, Staphylococcus aureus, and Gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeurgionsa, and on fungi such as Candida albicans" ...

The gram negative bacteria are common in chameleons.
I think all of this needs further discussion and study.
