Veil chameleon hatching eggs soon

Hello this is my first veil female chameleon and I really need advice on when she lays her eggs what to do with them after she has done that appreciate for any advice.

I put the eggs in a plastic Tupperware shoe box with about 3 inches of moist vermiculite and keep them in a closet where the temps with be around 76 degrees. I punch two tiny holes in the lid. To test for moisture, take a fist full of the vermiculite and squeeze it, if no more than a drop or two of water comes out then the moisture level should be okay. Do not turn the eggs as you move them from where they were laid to the container. Lay them in rows about an inch apart in all directions in shallow dents made with your thumb in the vermiculite. Put the lid on and place them in a dark place where the temperature is between 72-78 F. Moisture will form on the sides of the container and underside of the lid. It takes about 8 to 9 months for the eggs to hatch. It they are not fertile they will mold over in a couple of weeks.

You might find my blog and Dez's video helpful.

Stuiped question do I need a male to help her produce the eggs . I just don't understand how it works. Been watching a lot of youtube videos and the people are taking the eggs and incubating in a Tupperware and leaving them in the closet for months . When does the male come in and do his part ? Thanks first time female owner .

She will produce infertile eggs without a male even being around and could start producing eggs as early as 5 months old so by the age of 5 months I recommend keeping a laying bin in her enclosure at all times. The eggs would not be fertile unless she mates with a male when she's receptive weeks before she lays the eggs.
