So I bought a Cham 2 days ago and he isnt eating. He is tiny maybe 3-4 inchs big. He has only eaten one cricket. I tried cup feeding so I could keep track of what hes eating but he wont eat from the cup, So I let the crickets just roam the cage but it's annoying because they just find there way under the paper towels on the floor and he cant find them. Also when he see's a cricket he goes to the bottom of the cage and he changes colors to brown stripes and he acts like he wants to get out of the cage, he walks back and forth against the screen and rubs his head on it and occasionally stops and pulls at the screen and crickets will walk infront of him and he doesn't do anything, please help!

hi and welcome :)

everythings new to him.many catch on to cup feeding quick but many dont all chams are different.he needs time to settle and find his bearings.

its normal to go a short while without food especially when moving to a new home.its all very daunting to them.my boy didnt eat for 4 days.now he loves his grub :)

i would suggest you just leave him be to settle for the next few weeks.offer a few items at a time.
keep trying the cup and just free range a few.my boy will not eat from a cup so i free range.

just to make sure everything ok could you fill this out just so we can get a better understanding of his setup and make sure alls good.pics would be good too xx

I agree your cham is getting used to you. But my veiled had the exact same problem. She would not eat! If this continues start to hand feed him. For me it helped my chameleon eat and grow much nicer and less afraid towards me!
