Veiled Chameleon Not Eating Greens

Hello! My new chameleon (I think is 3 months) does not eat the collared greens or grapes I offer. He is eating no joke 20 crickets a day all dusted with calcium and occasional meal worms and wax worms. I need to get a multi-vitamin for him, but not sure what kind or from where. This is my first chameleon, do they normally eat this many crickets?

young chameleons tend to eat a lot. a good brand of multi-vitamin powder is reptivite - which can be used once a month.

my chameleon went on and off greens for a while. eventually she stopped eating them. now i feed her red bell pepper and she eats that willingly all the time

Thank you! I am trying to figure out the supplements deal, right now he is getting flukers calcium with d3 everyday on every cricket... I am reading on these forms that I need to reduce the d3 and add a multivitamin. I am going to add some pictures to the health forms, I think when I bought him he has some MBD going on... :-(

D3 should be only used 2 times a month. If you search the forums youll find some threads on the subject. Repashy calcium plus can be used daily.

Welcome! and congrats!
Young veileds can eat that many crickets or more every day, until they are about 6 months old. UNless you have a female, you should let him eat as many as he can.
Mealworms are not dialy feeders, they are treats.
The supplement schedule is as follows... calciwum without d3 every feeding, calcium with d3 twice a month, multivitamin twice a month.
Or you can use repashy all in one calcium plus as an everything feeder for every feeding.
ANd dont worry if he doesnt eat greens, my veiled wil never eat greens. the only non live thing he eats, is a few bites of his umbrella plant.
WHy do you think he has mbd?
Can you post a picture in this thread please?
does he have the proper UVB lighting?

Good luck!
