Veiled Chameleon skin condition

I have been to multiple Vets and no one can give me the treatment to cure this.

Can a home humidifier cause such problems?

Can any one help me with medication names that would work for sure.

I have been keeping my chameleons with the same husbandry with no issues. One of my chameleons reached 12 years before he died.

Looks fungal to me... Not sure how you house them. If outdoors could be something in the environment.

Humidifiers can breed some nasty stuff if they are not taken apart and cleaned. I have not heard of a fungal skin infection but I have heard of RI from dirty humidifiers.

@kinyonga Have you ever seen anything like this?
@Lady Luck I’m guessing none of the vets you’ve gone to have taken any scraping or biopsy. I’m not even close to being a vet, but I would think that would be considered to figuring out what your chameleon has and treatment.

And Ive also noticed that its mostly where there should be yellow skin. Humidifier gets cleaned daily. But Ive since stopped using it. I house my chameleons outside. And indoors at night

So sorry your boy is dealing with this. This year we aRe having a late spring. I imagine there may be pollens in the air that aren’t usual too. Be patient as skin conditions with chameleons take a long time to right themselves. I would try to find a post on YouTube by a cham vet and reply by posting your pics and ask if they have seen this before. It’s worth a try. Best of luck with this mystery. Please keep us posted.

If the patches are fuzzy then it’s fungal and can be deadly without treatment. This doesn’t look like the pics I have seen, but I am sure there are variations. Let me see if I can find more.

Found a reptile VET 60km away from home.
She also suspects fungal as well as Chris Anderson. So I was given a antifungul and antibiotic drops. 1 drop a day of each as well as a ointment. How long do you think should I wait to notice any change?
