Be very slow and gental don't force them or rub there back like a cat. Give them zero reason not to trust u. Also offer them a treat from tongs or ur.fingers theyll associate u as a friend not foe.
Good luck dont get bit! Its a son of a gun!

Hello, welcome to the forum :) First leave them to settle into their new home for a while (1 week is enough) with as little distraction as possible, just feeding and misting. Try to hand feed them, and get them to approach you from inside thee cage to get food.
Take things slowly, maybe use a twig for them to climb out to you on - to coax them out a bit.
Don't go in to pick them up from above, always try to persuade them to climb onto you. With a lot of time and patience hopefully they will get to be more tolerant of you.
I've tried a little bit with mine, Veileds aren't usually the friendliest of lizards so mine will rarely hiss now but they still don't like to be handled really.
Hand feed the first few crickets of the day and usually you can temp a Cham nearer to you though.........

thanks Ive tried feeding with tongues they are silver and my chams tend to puff up to it everytime they are in the cage

My Kiwi just turned to 6 months old. I have had him since last December. He had never been handled before. He hissed me few times and tried to bite me once. However, I noticed that he was eager to come out from his cage 2 days ago all of the sudden. It's his first time to climb on my hand and I was totally amazed!

Since then, he would come towards me and waiting to come out whenever I stand in front of his cage for a couple of mins. :D

He was having a sunbath this afternoon.

Never give up your hope. Good luck.

The more you handle them, the less you will fear them.

The less you fear them, the less they will fear you.

It is all up to you.

Fear nothing,

Be Cool

I have a female veiled that is totally frightened by tongs. It seems to be pretty normal. I go in with a light colored glove. she seems to take to it so you may want to try that. were slowly moving over to just the hands. Everything with these guys is a process. I still have a little one that hides when we look at him. Give it time.
