Veiled Setup

hi

hi when i built my tank i got mine from down the river when i was walkin my dog and let them dry out for a couple of weeks or go to the beach and get that drift wood that's well nice

I just walked around the block once or twice and picked up some dead sticks that had fallen off the tree. I then scrubed them with very hot water and a sponger. And to top it off I put them in the over for 10 minutes at 350 Degrees kill any left over unwanted bacteria or parasites

You can use anything except pine (unless it's pretty old and completely dried out). Pine can have some irritating sap residue for years, and is also more prone to slivering and causing eye and nasal problems.

Because cham cages have so much ventilation, you don't have to worry about the decomposition of the wood you use, so you can really use anything you find.

To be specific, Oak, Malaysian driftwood, Ghostwood, and Grape wood are excellent choices.
