Veiled Shower

I am no pro with that. My veiled is 6 months I think and he does fine in the shower. I think it has alot to do with the type of mist that comes from your shower head and your water pressure. If he can hold on to his plant and doesn't freak when you mist him then he should be fine with a similar mist and pressure to what you use on a daily basis, i would say at like 4 mos.

Let the pro's answer this first tho

I was wondering how to shower your veiled chameleon. What is the minimum age that you can.

5 months or older.

Put fake plants on the shower.
Put your veiled on the plants
Turn on your shower, set it to warm (just like you would when you take a bath)
Rise the shower head so the water hits the wall and reflect back to the plants (Don't shower him directly).

put him for 30 to 45 minutes.
He will freak out during the first experience, but soon he will learn to love it.
mine turn the brightest during shower session.

I put mine in the shower today. He loves it. Especially if he is coming to the end of his shed cycle. He actually ran to the water and just sat under it for about 5 mins then moved a little distance and just let it run all over him.

The only issue that might arise is once you shut the water off. The temperature drops pretty quickly and your cham may get a little chilly. Try and get him back into the cage at the earliest possible time. Clyde did his satellite manuever once I had him back in his cage. He wanted to warm up a bit under his lights after his shower.

And a second issue....be mindful of how big your water heater is. I get about 30mins of warm water before it runs cold. Since its winter, that water will be ultra cold.

If I did this with my Veild he would jump off and probably kill himself trying to get away from water. He hates it!!! Its really weird because he will be fine when im not spraying him and its wet on his plants but oh well. Guess he's a party pooper. :(:(:(:eek::eek:
