Opinions: Chameleon Waving Arm!?

I just caught my cham moving his arm back and forth while he was basking. Is this normal? I've never seen/heard of anyones cham doing this. I recorded him doing it for about 3 minutes then decided to pick him up. Felt around for any bumps and checked to see if he was bruised or anything but nothing showed up. I let him back in his cage and he climbed right up. Stretched his arm again, then stopped.

Has anyone ever seen something like this?

Here's a vid that I cut so it's smaller:

:D How is he eating and drinking now. Are you still having to force feed. Just worried about an imbalance since his appetite was bad. Are his poops formed. What are some side effect of his meds. I would check with the vet or PM one on here. Makes me think of the chams that grab at the body parts on stuff.

Maybe he was just saying "hey, whats up?"

It looks to me like he is stretching. Maybe it could be a sideeffect???

Is he able to put weight on the arm and also are there any other chameleons that he can see and respond to? Ruth

Yeah he's checking out fine. Feces is cool, black stool w/ white urate. Side effects I haven't checked out. Maybe he was having a good trip? LOL

haha yeah def looked like he was stretching. Maybe i'll upload the longer video lol!

Nope, If that was a mating call he needs to work on it ;)

And yes, he can walk around fine, doesn't have any marks on him either. just checked his PJ's too see if anything was darker around his shoulder area and I seen nothing. I did give him a little massage though, then he stopped doing his arm stretches haha.

Well clearly, he is doing chameleon yoga! ;)

Seriously though, no idea. Probably nothing to worry about unless it is a consistent behavior.

LOL! I tried not to laugh while recording...The 3 minute video is hilarious but i wasn't too sure if it was a sign for MBD. Maybe a spasm or something, but so far he's fine :)

Thanks Ferret! Glad you vets are always here to help clear things up!

I'll update this thread if the problem persists.

Is he able to put weight on it and walk normally? He may of hyper extended it while trying to catch himself falling?
