Vet visit! How do I take him?

Soooo my little guy has his first vet visit this Monday!

As many of you have suggested, I’ll be collecting a fecal sample and filling in the how to ask for help sheet. I was just wondering where you guys put your chams to transport them to the vet. I don’t wanna stress him out

A small travel cage will work fine.

I take mine in a dark box with a mounted branch to hold on to. If it’s dark enough they can sleep thru the ride.

Yup! I Use a pet carrier. Mine opens at the top as well as the front, which is nice because it's easier for him to crawl on out and also to get him back in. Mount a size appropriate branch/perch for them to grab. Although my guy usually ends up grabbing the sides of the box. And a towel or some other cover to keep it dark works wonders to keep them calm. Also depending on your cham, I found bringing an extra little 10inch or so branch helps if your cham is not used to handling yet. When I first took my guy to the vet he was a spit fire. Getting him to walk onto the extra branch was easier for us and less stressful for him than making him walk on our hands. But that was just my experience with my guy. Good luck on your vet visit!
