Vibrating Food Dish?

I saw an ad for a feeding dish that vibrates so it looks canned bugs are alive to a cham and I was wondering if this works/ is a good idea cause my neighbor might have to look after my cham for a while and i know for a fact they dont want to deal with live bugs. Also, are canned insects as healthy as live for chams?

I would not recomend doing this. Chameleons need live insects for their neuroscience. Also, i think canned bugs would not offer as much H2O for your cham.

BUT this dish may be a good idea for those who cant get their roaches to move enough to get their chams attention. :)

definitely intended for dead bugs and chameleons do better with live food so i wouldnt get it. I think it may be for beardies, but not 100% on that I just remember seeing a bearded dragon on the box

I really woundnt. maybe for a couple days at the most. Not a couple weeks. The chameleon may not go for this even if it is shaking. They are not dumb

i saw a cham on a box for a heated cable to wrap around branches

I hate products that do this. I think it would be a good idea to make a sticky of all these products. Heated vine, compact bulbs, UVB tubes with plastic covering the tube... the list goes on. ITS TERRIBLE!

Save your money
LIVE insects only - no vibrating dish, no dehydrated mystery fed nutritionally deficient dead insects

If your pet sitter doesnt like bugs, get a different sitter! :)
Try larva like butterworms and superworms. One could pick those up with tongs and place in a feeder cup, if one were squeemish about crickets and such
