Vitamins in Water?

Does anyone supplement water drops w/ Vit C or other soluble additives? I do this for my other animals, at very low amounts (by human standards) and they (german shepherd, tegu and pythons) seem to benefit from it. thanks!

It'd be hard to implement with chams, and with proper supplementation they shouldn't need it.

i am sure there are some members who do it, but that does not make it a good idea (imo). chams need their vitamins in regulated amounts, and if gutloading and supplementation are within sensible limits, then additional supplementation is not necessary, plus it would be almost impossible to figure and keep track of dosage. you could know how much you put in the dripper, but it would still be almost impossible to keep track of how much the cham actually drank during the day, and vitamin water would be bad to get in their eyes. also when you add vitamins and such to water, it encourages bacterial growth. chams are vitamin sensitive, and newer keepers are far more likely to over supplement rather than under supplement. many (most) of the posts in the help form are related to lighting and supplementation issues and could usually be avoided with a little self taught knowledge before things become a problem. i think a new keeper and their chams would be much better served by learning approrpriate gutloading and supplementation parameters rather than trying to make up for it by adding it to the water. jmo
