I am considering a small ten inch water feature in a 48" tall enclosure. Would this be an issue with chameleon's health?

thanks

As I suspected... thanks for the response... the tank is a four foot long stock tank which I will create the enclosure above. I will post pics as progress is achieved

When you say "water feature" do you mean a pool? How deep? Chams don't swim well. If there's a chance a small cham might fall into the pool you would want something that provides a way to climb out; either a sloped bottom or a partly submerged branch for an escape route.

You will want to either exchange or filter the water well, as feeders will find their way into it to drown, fecal matter drop into it, creating a bacterial soup.

I have a 2year old African land crab. I use an aquarium and used to have land, and water fall etc. Now I just have rocks so he can get out .it gets very messy and the upkeep is pain. And also why put a water feature in an enclosure with a chameleon they're in the trees all the time. I know it looks cool and is challenging but I wouldn't with a chameleon. Basically any other tropical reptile other than a chameleon would work if you wanted a water feature
