Watering Outdoors at night?

So the weather has cooled down enough that I can move the panthers outside 24/7. That being said, the most common watering timers can only be programmed to for a certain number of waterings a day and then how long.

For example, I can water every 6 hours for 20 minutes.

That being said, if I leave it like that I will get at least 1 overnight watering and when the time change kicks in, 2.

Now I cant think of any real negative to the overnight watering other than a soggy yard, but I thought I would get some feedback.

Obviously it rains at night in the wild and it can certainly rain overnight here, so not sure there is much different.

For clarity, these are not misters but rather small sprinklers that cause rain to fall through the screen as if it were raining. In addition, only a third to a half of the cage actually gets wet, the other portion stays dry.

I still have all my animals out. My system is set to run every 4 hours for 10 minutes this time of year. No issues here but I only keep montane species that don't mind cool and damp.

If you want more control you could always look into using 110v solenoids wired to standard light timers.

I've had a few of my panthers out all summer all the way up to 97 with no issues. I’ve found that the neonates grow much quicker when they are able to go outside at 2 months old.

Mine did fine with two 15 minute waterings. The first one at 1:00 and the 2nd one at 4:00.
Water left overnight caused mold and algae to grow.
