Waxworms

Hi,

I've noticed why I have a tub of waxworms, they sometimes go into little cocoons, I throw them out before they hatch into moths. But can I feed my female veiled the moths. Or not?

yes, wax worms moths are fine, they dont fly too well but just like a wax worm is a nice little fatty treat.

Great, I'll let them hatch then. But get Joe to feed her 'cos I'm terrified of moths!

i would open the container inside the cage and try and give it a blow out. try and get them on the sides of the screen or a branch or leave, you dont want to touch them.

sounds gross. I bloody hate moths. But will be interesting to see if she enjoys them!

Amy's had some before, but as moths they are a bit thick,l ol! They don't fly up to the lights - they just flutter to the floor. They are not great flyers though. I found mine ended up on the floor and disappeared under the sofa! I don't bother with them anymore.

Yeah they are fine, i buy a box once in awhile and let them turn into moths. My cham Mia loves them. They are rubbish at flying tho, so i always just put one on my hand to feed Mia, doesn't get the chance to fly once Mia see's the moth.
