Most of you know about the scare we had with our mail cham scooter a few months ago but that he is all better now. Well just a little bit ago i went and looked in his cage and i found little green balls (and by little they were tiny, ill post a pic also.) But they were stuck to the top and sides of the cage, so of course i stuck my hand in the cage to see what they were and begain to knock them off until i realized they were all over scooter also. Which is when i freaked out and got justin! Well anyways im just wondering if anyone knows what they are or where the came from. I can tell you right off the batt we have NO live plants (for the moment). Although some of our hornworms hatched and we put 2 of the live moths in the cage. Scooter has not eaten them yet (that we have seen, although one has disapeared) Could these little green things possibly be eggs? or spores or somthing? and what should we do about it? Some one help us!!

little green balls

Sound like hornworm eggs to me. If you put two moths in the cage for the cham to eat there's a good chance that one of them layed eggs.

Do you know of any website that we can find pics of hornworm eggs? or do you know anything about them like how we could hatch them... or if we need to clean them out of the cage because they may cause harm to our scooter?

thanks! yah we are going to try to get them to hatch.. are we just supposed to put them in a dish or what? do they need to be heated? and how long do they normally take to hatch? i tried look some info up on line but everything is geared towards silkies

thanks for the web site! were trying to get things figured out now! and yes we know about the tomato plants and the others that are harmfull to our cham! We were hoping that our moth left would lay more eggs for us BUT scooter just ate him.. : )
